Sella 2015

The Sella 2015 will be held on Saturday August 8.

This test, organized by the Spanish Canoeing Federation and delegated by the Organizing Committee Sella and Canoe Federation of Asturias, is declared of International Tourist Interest.

In 1929, Dionisio de La Huerta and a friend staged a tour that would start dugout of the legendary sporting event, becoming over the years in the most important world canoeing appointment.

The departure is at 12:00 from the bridge of Arriondas, with participants and canoes out of the water, oars and paddles or blocked with some traps that open once the light turns green, after reading the verses composed by Dionisio de la Huerta.

The arrival is located under the bridge of Ribadesella, 20 km from the exit.

Alongside the sporting event has been held a massive party, called the Festival of Canoes, which begins Friday in Arriondas and continues Saturday in Ribadesella, with hours and hours of enjoyment in the most varied music in different facilities, which enable for the occasion the bar with music on the street.

So whether you want to enjoy a great party as an internationally renowned sporting event, you can not stop coming to the east of Asturias on 8 August.
